Jayne and Adriano Orindi opened the shop in 1990 as an Italian Deli. Adriano came from a family restaurant background and had the food knowledge and vision whilst Jayne had attended Kingston University so chose the site and handled the admin side.
The business took off, but they quickly realised that the takeaway food aspect was the way to go and changed it from a deli to a sandwich bar in the early 90’s.

Sadly, Adriano suffered a brain haemorrhage in 1996 and was unable to work anymore. Jayne decided to carry on alone and with a small team kept Orindi’s going for many years even through challenging times – a major fire in 2009 almost spelt the end for the business.
Jayne and Adriano’s eldest daughter, Daniela, met Roberto in Italy in 2010. He moved from Naples to England and came to work at Orindi’s in early 2011. Roberto brought his passion for food and hard work ethic to the business.
At the beginning of 2018, Daniela and Roberto took over, keeping the shop well and truly in the family. Roberto looks after the day-to-day running of the shop and is always cooking up new, exciting dishes. Daniela is behind the scenes and runs the admin side from home.
